Founded in 2006, Rooms for Change© is a nonprofit agency created to ensure youth leaving the foster care system in the Bay Area are afforded the opportunity to live in a home environment that supports their well being and which ultimately improves the quality of their lives. To assist young people in their transition from foster youth to inter-independent young adults. Rooms for Change provides free interior design services. Working with agencies providing housing services for youth, Rooms for Change coordinates the services of corporate retailers and interior design professionals to create comfortable living spaces based on each youth’s personality and needs.
